We are an EU-based business and process your data under GDPR.

2. What Data We Collect

• Account data: Email, name, avatar (via Clerk authentication)
• Usage data: Pages viewed, actions in app, device info, IP address, timestamps
• Billing data: Subscription status, payment metadata (via Stripe - we don't store full card details)
• Support data: Messages you send us, feedback, error reports
• Cookies: Necessary cookies (login, security) and optional cookies (analytics, ads) with your consent

3. Why We Process Your Data (Legal Basis)

• To provide the service: Account management, save projects, secure access (Legal basis: Contract - GDPR Art. 6(1)(b))
• Billing: Process payments, issue invoices, prevent fraud (Legal basis: Contract, legal obligation, legitimate interest)
• Analytics: Measure usage, improve the service (Legal basis: Consent or legitimate interest)
• Advertising: Show ads on free tier via Google AdSense (Legal basis: Consent)
• Marketing: Newsletter via MailerLite if you opt in (Legal basis: Consent - you can unsubscribe anytime)
• Security: Detect abuse, protect accounts (Legal basis: Legitimate interest, legal obligation)

4. Cookies & Consent

When you first visit Stackure, you'll see a cookie consent banner. You can choose:

• Necessary cookies: Required for login, security, basic functionality (always enabled)
• Analytics cookies: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity (requires your consent)
• Advertising cookies: Google AdSense (requires your consent)
• Preference cookies: Remember your language and theme settings (requires your consent)

We use Google Consent Mode v2. Your choices are stored in your browser. You can change your preferences anytime by clearing your browser data or contacting us.

5. Third-Party Services (Data Processors)

We share your data with these services to operate Stackure:

We have Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with all processors. Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are used for international transfers.

6. International Transfers

Your data may be processed outside Poland/EU. We use approved mechanisms (Standard Contractual Clauses) to ensure your data remains protected.

7. Data Retention

• Account data: Stored while your account is active + 12 months after deletion
• Billing/invoices: 5 years (required by Polish tax law)
• Analytics: 14-26 months (Google/Microsoft defaults)
• Support emails: As needed for customer service

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
• Erasure: Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restriction: Limit how we process your data
• Portability: Receive your data in a standard format

9. Children

Stackure is not for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you are under 16, please do not use our service.

We protect your data with HTTPS encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is 100% secure.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notification.
